Over his 73-year career, Nathan Milstein invented myriad new ways to coax miraculous sound from his violin. Pioneering documentarian Christopher Nupen captures this Master of Invention through performance excerpts and the Russian virtuoso’s reflections on his peers, including his relationships with Horowitz, Heifetz, Piatigorsky, Ysaÿe, and Rachmaninoff.
